Have had dietary/stomach difficulties for a number of years (30+) for which have been prescribed various drugs to counter same. Omeprazole has been the most effective to date.

It is a very important drug to look after my stomach h as I take many drugs

This drug gave me hallucinations . I kept seeing snakes during the night. It stopped when I stopped taking the drug it also made me very tired.

I have been taking Omeprazlone for over 2 years also Tramadol and paracetamol for pain relief Additionaly I am taking Isosorbide, Viazem and Lipitor for my heart. I tried to
stop Lipitor as it caused weakness in my muscles but it resulted in raised blood pressure and cholesterol. I am currently suffering with indigestion and insomnia which I think is caused by Omeprazlone but I have a review with my G.P. next month

Omeprazole is used to treat certain stomach and esophagus problems (such as acid reflux, ulcers). It works by decreasing the amount of acid your stomach makes. It relieves symptoms such as heartburn, difficulty swallowing, and persistent cough. This medication helps heal acid damage to the stomach and esophagus, helps prevent ulcers, and may help prevent cancer of the esophagus. Omeprazole belongs to a class of drugs known as proton pump inhibitors (PPIs).
